Police say they charged a Salisbury teen with vandalizing a downtown apartment building early Saturday morning. Authorities said the teen was spotted along with three others throwing rocks at the building.

Salisbury Police charged Dominic Roshad Corradetti, 16, of the 1300 block of North Church Street, with possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed pistol/gun, possession of a firearm by a minor, and simple possession of marijuana, all of which are misdemeanors. He was issued a citation for misdemeanor vandalism.

Authorities received a call from a tenant in the 300 block of East Council Street who said she could see three young males walking in the area. She said they threw rocks at a window. She yelled at the males to stop.

Salisbury Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said the woman was able to give a detailed description of one of the suspects including his hairstyle. Police stopped three males walking near Long and Council streets. The incident occurred after 1 a.m.

Police called the parents of the two juveniles, one of whom was a reported runaway. When officers stopped the teens, Corradetti had a gun, marijuana and a grinder on him.

The other two were not charged, Lingle said.

Police are looking into other properties, including the former Bernhardt’s Hardware, now Abigail’s, at 113 North Main St., where rocks were thrown into windows. It is not clear if the teens involved in this incident were involved in the other vandalism.

Lingle said there is an ongoing investigation into several businesses that had damage from rocks being thrown at windows. It all happened over the weekend and involving at least four businesses that investigators are aware of, she said. There is video taken by security cameras.

“The East Council Street apartment is believed to have occurred around the same time as the other vandalism,” Lingle said.

Charges are pending, she added.
