Lesmez graduates from Capstone

Angela Lesmez, who has completed the residential program at Capstone Recovery Center, was honored at a graduation celebration on Saturday.
Dr. Shirley R. Luckadoo, the chair of the Board of Directors, spoke at the ceremony about planting deep roots to stand firm as the winds of the world will blow. Jerry Chandler, the vice chair of the board, congratulated Angela for the amazing way she was able to complete the program.
Dr. Oscar Ramirez, counseling director, spoke of maintaining healthy boundaries and continuing to make good choices.
Angela is now working and volunteering as one of the youth leaders at Trading Ford Baptist Church.
Capstone Recovery Center provides a safe environment for women whose lives have been devastated by substance abuse and have a desire for a radically new life. They are located at 418 W. Innes St.
Capstone Recovery Center has received financial funding from the Rowan County United Way, The Blanche & Julian Robertson Family Foundation, The Salisbury Community Foundation, The Margaret C. Woodson Foundation and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Foundation.
