Rowan weather: Here’s your April showers

It could be a messy week, with showers and thunderstorms possible every day.

Starting out at 48 degrees, we’ll warm to 73 under mostly cloudy skies. In the early hours of Tuesday, showers are likely. The low will be only 57 degrees. The chance of rain is 60 percent.

For Tuesday, it’s another 60 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy again, with another high of 73. Higher accumulations of rain are possible in thunderstorms, which may include gusty winds and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms decreases Tuesday night to 20 percent, but don’t rule out a shower between 7 p.m. and midnight.

Wednesday brings a slight chance of showers between 10 a.m. and noon, then a 40 percent chance of showers and storms for the afternoon. It will be party sunny and quite warm, with a high around 81. There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night, with a low of 58.

Thursday’s chance of showers and thunderstorms is 40 percent, after 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy again with a high near 76. The 40 percent chance of showers and storms continues Thursday night with a low around 59.

More of the same for Friday, with a high of 76, then a 50 percent chance of rain and storms Friday night with a low of 61.

Saturday, same old song, 40 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy and 77. Saturday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and a low around 56.

And Sunday, again, a 30 percent chance of showers, partly sunny and 74.
