The shelter guests enrolled in the New Tomorrows program got a chance to give back to their program by decorating 8 bird houses that will be auctioned at the upcoming Pass The Plate fundraiser for Rowan Helping Ministries. The Pass the Plate fundraiser is a ticketed event that will be held on Saturday April 18th at Morgan Ridge Vineyard and Brewery.
If spring is here, Pass the Plate is sure to follow.
Participants in Rowan Helping Ministries’ New Tomorrows program used their creative talents Monday and Tuesday to decorate birdhouses that will be auctioned at the agency’s Pass the Plate fundraiser on April 18.
Most of the fundraiser benefits Rowan Helping Ministries’ entire array of programs — soup kitchen, shelter, life coaching and more. But the birdhouse proceeds go to New Tomorrows, which helps shelter guests gain practical life skills, work skills and financial management skills.
Pass the Plate, a ticketed event, will be held at Morgan Ridge Vineyards in Gold Hill. The evening includes entertainment by Divided by Four, a silent auction and raffle. For more information, go to www.rowanhelpingministries.org.
