Rowan weather: Chilly temps and rain for today

The only thing worse than a rainy Monday is a rainy Friday, and we’re stuck with one today.

Starting out at 47 degrees, the high for today, 48, was sometime in the overnight hours. There is a 90 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 p.m., with north winds at 7-11 mph and gusts up to 21 mph. Tonight, the chance of rain drops to 30 percent and the low drops to 33.

Saturday will be sunny, but chilly, with a high of only 48 degrees and northwest winds at 5-10 mph. The clear skies will allow the nighttime temperature to drop to 27.

Sunday will be a little warmer, up to 52, with more sunny skies. The low will be warmer, around 38 degrees.

And speaking of rainy Mondays, we’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers Monday, especially between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The high will will be 62. Monday’s low will be around 42.

Now, Tuesday looks lovely, with sunny skies and a high near 68. The low Tuesday night will be about 45.

Look for more sun on Wednesday, with a high of 70. Another 30 percent chance of showers creeps in for Wednesday night, when the low will be around 50.

Next Thursday could be damp, too, with a 40 percent chance of showers and mostly cloudy skies. The high will be 72.
