Spencer police looking for two robbery suspects

Spencer Police have released few details, but say they need the public’s help in identifying two males who robbed the Kangaroo convenience store early Saturday morning.

The armed robbery occurred at 4 a.m. at the store, 300 S. Salisbury Ave. Police said two black males, one of whom displayed a handgun, were seen leaving the store on foot. Police provided no specific description of the men. Police Chief Michael James said a clerk was not harmed, but was emotionally shaken following the incident. Police were not able to speak with the clerk as of Monday, he said.

James said he expects further details to be released today.
