Salisbury Police investigators are looking for a man and a woman involved in a morning shooting at a South Main Street boarding house.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at 1526 S. Main St., located beside Checkered Flag restaurant.

Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said the victim was shot multiple times and was found in a common hallway and then taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center where hospital officials are working to stabilize the victim.

The initial call was made by someone inside the boarding house because multiple shots were fired. The caller requested police and an ambulance, Lingle said.

She said the shooter ran out of the back of the house and continued on foot.

“We’ve got very good information,” Lingle said of the suspects.
