Rowan weather: Sunny and 80

Once again, we’re starting in the 40s (41) and we can expect to hit 80 degrees later today. West northwest winds will blow at 5-14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

While it’s sunny and warm, take a drive around to see the cherry trees and other spring bloomers looking glorious. Count the daffodils and think about planting tulips for next year.

Tonight’s low will dip to 39 degrees, with more wind, this time from the north, and gusts again as high as 22 mph.

It will be 20 degrees cooler Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 60. The wind will calm by afternoon. Wednesday night will have a low around 42.

Thursday brings a 70 percent chance of rain, mainly after 11 a.m., with a chilly high near 47. The chance of rain goes up to 80 percent Thursday night, with a low around 41.

Friday, too, has a 60 percent chance of rain, mainly before 10 a.m., then showers after that. It will be cloudy with a high near 55. The low will be 43.

Saturday looks great, though, with partly sunny skies and a high near 64. The low will be around 44.

Sunday, another good day, with partly sunny skies and a high near 62. The low goes all the way down to 37.

Monday looks nice, as well, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 57.
