Rowan weather: A warm day ahead

It’s going to be quite warm today, even though we are starting out at 40 degrees. We’ll hit 74 today, under mostly sunny skies.

Tonight will be chilly, with a low of 47.

It’s going to be even warmer Tuesday, with a high near 77, with plenty of sun. A west northwest wind will blow at 6-11 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph.

It will be cooler Wednesday, with a high of 61 and a 30 percent chance of rain Wednesday night. The low will be around 43.

Rain is likely Thursday, with a 70 percent chance and a high of just 49. The chance of rain is 60 percent Thursday night, with a low of 42.

For Friday, we have a lingering 30 percent chance of rain with a high near 57 and a low around 42.

Saturday will be cloudy, with a high near 62 and a low of 43. Sunday will be partly sunny and near 61.

You can tell it’s March with the up and down weather. The plants know it too, and are budding like crazy. Just remember Extension Agent Danelle Cutting’s advice: Don’t plant too soon.
