Rowan weather: Rainy Saturday gives way to Sunday sun

Here we are, on the second Friday the 13th of the year, with a 70 percent chance of rain, mostly after 1 p.m. The high will be 52.

Tonight the chance of rain goes up to 90 percent, with patchy fog and a low of 46.

And we’ll have more rain Saturday, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high will be 62, with winds 5-11 mph from the south southeast, with gusts as high as 18 mph or more in thunderstorms. The chance of rain will be 80 percent

Rain chances go down to 30 percent Saturday night, but there’s still the chance of thunderstorms. The low will be 49.

We may have to deal with some fog Sunday, but it will turn out mostly sunny, with a warm high near 68. Sunday night’s low will be 40.

The first four days of the work week look to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 60s and 50s. Monday should be sunny and 66, with a low around 45.

Tuesday, look for mostly sunny skies and a high near 68, with a low of 40.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, too, with a high around 57 and a low of 38. Thursday should be partly sunny with a high near 60.

This would be a good Saturday to attend to home chores for a change, then get out and enjoy Sunday.
