Marie Pugh and Ruth Bowles had the best N/S score bidding 3DN making 4 while Pat Featherston and Dick Brisbin had the best E/W score defeating opponents 5DN* 2 tricks. All pairs played in N/S even though E/W had a preponderance of points. This is an example of “Points Schmointz.”
The Tuesday, Feb. 24 Women’s Club game was once again threatened by weather. Thanks to a few members bringing others from their homes we had a three-table game.
Winners were: First, Maggie Canup and BettyBonner Steele; second, Wayne Pegram and Everett Halsall visiting from Concord.
