Sherry Hubbard is a fifth-grade English language arts and social studies teacher at Bostian Elementary School

Years teaching: 15 years total – 10 in elementary and five in preschool

Family: Two children, three grandchildren, parents and students – lots of students

Favorite food: Crab and corn frittata

Favorite color: Yellow

Favorite movies: “The Wizard of Oz” and “Field of Dreams”

Favorite sport or team: Duke Blue Devils

Hobbies: Being a NBC Charlotte Weather Spotter, interior decorating and fashion

Dream vacation: Notting Hill, London

Prized possession: A music box that belonged to my great grandmother

Actor who would star in the movie of my life: Meg Ryan

Hidden talent: I can whistle loudly – just ask my students, and my snow dances usually work.
