Barbara Harrison, also known as “Butterfly Barbara” has a heart for monarch butterflies and for teaching others about the endangered species. She took that passion to North Rowan Elementary School for Make a Difference Day. She talked to the students about the butterflies and their migration patterns, and had the students plant lantana cuttings to attract monarch butterflies in the spring.
