Rail Walk Studios & Gallery will host the opening reception for “Small Wonders” exhibit on Friday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibit will feature small works of art created by artists at Rail Walk & Gallery and will be open Dec. 4 through 18 in both main galleries, 409 – 413 N. Lee Street, in the Railwalk Arts District.

Art was chosen for the show based on size and price being suitable for gift giving. Works may be taken by buyers at the time of purchase rather than waiting until the end of the exhibit.

Light refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.

Participating artists include: Karen Frazer – encaustic art; Sharon Forthofer – oil paintings; Jane Johnson – acrylic paintings; Keyth Kahrs – acrylic paintings; Kenneth Koskela – watercolor paintings; and Marietta Smith – watercolor paintings. Artists will also have prints and larger works available to view in their studios. The exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

Rail Walk Studios & Gallery is open Thursdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rail Walk Gallery will be closed Dec. 19, through Jan. 8 for the holidays. For more information, call 704-431-8964 or visit www.railwalkgallery.com
