C. Michael Briggs, who is writing a book on Rowan long rifles and the gunsmiths who made them, will be the guest program Tuesday at a meeting of the Genealogical Society of Rowan County.

The group will meet at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Room of Rowan Public Library, 201 W. Fisher St. Briggs will have a Power Point program and guns on display.
