It appears a man who stole $1,800 worth of high-end beauty products from a Salisbury store has targeted the franchise in other cities.
Salisbury Police say a black male walked into Ulta Beauty, located at 1445 Klumac Road, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 and walked out with Chanel perfume and other Chanel beauty items. In the first incident, the man was accompanied by four black females. The females distracted store personnel and the man calmly walked out with $792 worth of Chanel products. He ran behind the shopping center toward Michael’s where there was a waiting vehicle parked behind Los Arcos Mexican restaurant on the other end.
Two days later, the man returned to the store, loaded Chanel items into a store bag and walked out. He threatened a store employee who tried to stop him.
Rock Hill, S.C. police are also looking for a man who robbed an Ulta Beauty located at the Manchester shopping center.
According to a report provided by the Rock Hill Police Department, the suspect arrived at the store Nov. 5 at 8:07 p.m. and walked to the perfume section with a store bag.
He placed Chanel perfume into the bag and exited the store, bypassing all of the cash registers, the report said.
The man took 30 bottles of perfume valued at $2,707.
Salisbury Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police also reported they were investigating an Ulta robbery as well. No details were immediately available regarding the Charlotte incident.
