A letter to Post readers: Check out our sleek new website

Published 12:00 am Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Today the Salisbury Post launches a revamped website designed to better serve our readers. You’ll find it at the usual web address — www.salisburypost.com — but with a fresh new look.

Key features include:

• Easier to navigate and find information.

• More local news and opinion on the home page.

• A more “mobile friendly” design.

• More prominent breaking news items.

• A community events calendar.

• Better display of photos and videos.

The new design has been months in the making and represents the first major change in the Post’s site in several years.

A few things have moved around. Weather is at the top of the home page now, and entertainment stories are under Lifestyle. New drop-down menus offer much more information. And the prominent photo at the top of the home page changes as you move your mouse over the photos beneath it.

We understand that change can be unsettling. We believe you will quickly find that this design suits your needs well. The site is a work in progress, so let us know if you encounter problems and be patient as we work through them. As always, we appreciate any suggestions you have to make the Salisbury Post and www.SalisburyPost.com better.  You can call me at 704-797-4244 or email elizabeth.cook@salisburypost.com.

Thank you for reading the Salisbury Post.
