A woman who was seriously injured a week ago in a two-vehicle collision on Jake Alexander Boulevard has died. Salisbury Police officials confirmed Monday morning the family of Vivian Leona McCulloh has decided to remove her from life support.

Vivian McCulloh, 82, of Advance, was one of four people inside a Honda Accord that was hit from behind by a pickup on Oct. 21 near Ivy Street. She was a front seat passenger in the vehicle, along with other relatives who were in the car. Vivian McCulloh had been a patient at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Hattie Smith McCulloh, 93, also of Advance, and Vivian “Lynn” McCulloh Tutterow, 57, of Mocksville, were passengers in the Honda’s back seat and were killed. Tutterow was a popular Davie High School teacher. The driver of the Honda, Pamela McCulloh Crump, 61, of Greensboro, was seen walking around shortly after the crash, but later taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

The driver of the truck, Brian Keith Hall, 32, of Salisbury, was not injured.

Police Capt. Shelia Lingle has said officers are continuing to investigate how the crash occurred with a wreck reconstruction report and interviews with those involved. Police have released no other details. No charges have been filed in the case.
