Musical acts, vendors and a number of other activities are all on tap for the 35th annual Autumn Jubilee.
The Jubilee officially begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dan Nicholas Park. Autumn Jubilee’s first day ends at 6 p.m. on Saturday and starts back up at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Its scheduled events include the Heritage Village, over 150 different crafts and 11 musical events. Admission and parking is free.
“It’s always a huge crowd and it looks like the weather is going to be great,” said Don Bringle, Rowan County’s Building Grounds and Parks Director. “Our campground is booked solid and it always is.”
Because of the county’s staff that handle the event, Bringle said Autumn Jubilee always runs smoothly.
Though, a significant amount of work goes into it.
He advised any potential attendees to show up early for the best parking spot.
Saturday’s musical entertainment include: Too Much Sylvia, Melvis, Gal Friday and Carolina Soul. Sunday’s music includes: Melvis, Swashtones, The Extraordinaires and Darrell Harwood.
