The benefit concert for former Rowan County resident Mary Renna will still be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Amici’s Pizza Sports Bar & Grill in Concord, but a raffle drawing in connection with the benefit has been moved from Sunday to Oct. 25.
The drawing will be held during the Cruise-In car show in downtown Kannapolis Oct. 25. Raffle tickets, the proceeds of which will benefit Renna, are being sold for a new Marquis Collection mattress at Village Furniture, 146 West Ave., Kannapolis.
A standard house cleaning valued at $100 from Complete Cleaning of Salisbury also will be given away.
The band Diesel will play at Sunday’s concert, and there will be a special performance by Darrell Harwood and HFO Acoustic. Amici’s Pizza is located at 929-A Concord Parkway.
Renna, now a resident of Garner, is suffering from stage 4 kidney disease, according to benefit organizer and friend, Lori Karriker.
