In sheriff’s reports:
• A woman reported a larceny Tuesday in the 1200 block of River Trace Lane.
• A man reported Tuesday four chainsaws were stolen sometime between Aug. 27 and Tuesday from the 200 block of Sells Road.
• A woman reported Tuesday an assault occurred in the 6100 block of East NC 152, Rockwell.
• Chad Hunter Seaford, 17, was charged Tuesday with felony assault by strangulation in the 428 North U.S. 29, China Grove.
• Natalie Michelle Trester, 19, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor simple assault in the 428 North U.S. 29, China Grove.

• A woman reported Wednesday a breaking and entering in the 1200 block of West Horah Street.
• Lakewood Apartments reported Wednesday a burglary in the 100 block of Huntington Drive.
• A woman reported Wednesday her granddaughter stole money from her purse in the 700 block of Hall Street.
