Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina invites military veterans and their immediate family members in the Salisbury area to attend information sessions about the Operation: GoodJobs program each Friday in September.
Operation: GoodJobs is a partnership between Goodwill and the Walmart Foundation that connects veterans with the training, financial education, credentialing opportunities, retention support and case management resources they need to get back to work and advance their careers.
The first session is Friday, 1-3 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Connections Center, 1923 S. Main St. Sessions will also be held Sept. 12, 19 and 26, at the same time and location.
Operation: GoodJobs is “a national program that helps veterans and their families find meaningful work and gain financial stability,” a Goodwill news release said. The program is open to veterans, military spouses and adult children dependents ages 18-24, with particular focus on female veterans and post-9/11 veterans.
