A rose, a bag of potato chips, an energy drink and oil will cost a Salisbury man much more than their value of $9.66.
Joseph Charles Pressley, 26, is charged with misdemeanor larceny.
Police reports state Pressley stole the items Friday from the Rushco 5 at 601 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
His bond was set at $200.
A Concord man was charged with communicating threats and resisting a public officer.
According to police reports, Richard Howard Stutts, 66, failed to comply with a Salisbury police officer’s commands to step back. He also verbally stated threats to the officer.
Stutts was issued a bond of $2,500 and taken to the Rowan County Detention Center.
A Kannapolis man was charged with felony breaking and or entering and felony larceny.
Jhmere Des’mond Daniels, 25, broke into a building in the 2900 block of Brown Road in Mount Ulla, stealing three gold nursing pendants, a Remington 1100 shotgun and a .22 rifle — at a value of $1,600, according to reports.
Daniels was issued a bond of $5,000 and is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
A Salisbury man is charged with misdemeanor assault on a female after he struck a woman with his fist about her head and face.
Thomas Gray, 53, is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond.
A Kannapolis woman was charged with aiding and abetting a larceny; resisting a public officer and resisting, delaying and obstructing public officer.
Judy Kepley Drye, 62, aided and abetted Tasha Simpson in stealing $30 of merchandise from Family Dollar and lied to a sheriff’s deputy about the identity of the suspect, according to police reports.
She was issued a $1,000 bond.
A homeless man is in the Rowan County Detention Center after screaming obscenities at law enforcement officers in the parking lot of Franklin Baptist Church, according to reports.
Simon Sleven Dragen, 27, is charged with being intoxicated and disruptive and with second degree trespassing. He was issued a $2,500 bond.
A Salisbury man is in prison after police reports say he attempted to stab another man with a steak knife.
Mario Dewan Jackson, 41, is charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.
Two Concord men have been charged with felony larceny by employee.
Scot Edward Dunham, 36, and Russell David Price, Jr., 26, stole catalytic converters from LKQ Corporation in Salisbury, according to reports. Both were released on a written promise to appear.
A highly aggressive woman was arrested after she ran off Interstate 85 and hit a guard rail, according to police reports.
Jasmine Yakira Willis of Clinton was charged with resisting a public officer.
Willis tried to run, hit, scratch and kick officers, leading them to believe she was also under the influence of an illegal substance of some sort. They couldn’t take her to the hospital to get blood or urine tests to prove it, however, “because of her combativeness,” according to reports.
Willis was issued a $2,500 bond.
