Dan Caldwell supplied this photograph. It’s an aerial view from the early 1950s of the J.B. Caldwell & Son general store (with the Coca-Cola sign) on N.C. 150 near Back Creek Church Road. The store building still stands today. J.B. Caldwell was Dan’s grandfather. J.B. Caldwell Jr. ( the ‘Son’ of the store) was his father. The Caldwell homeplace is the house at the top right.
