Emergency crews are responding to a motorcycle accident with two victims on Mooresville Road about 1 mile from the Iredell County line.
According to traffic on the emergency scanner and information from Rowan County 911 communications, one victim is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition. Names were not available.
Responders asked for a helicopter for the critical patient, but flight service is unavailable due to weather, a communications supervisor said. The victims will be transported by ground, he said.
The accident appears to involve only a motorcycle. More details as they become available.
