SALISBURY — Salisbury Fire Chief Bob Parnell has announced 11 promotions.
The city will hold a badge pinning promotional ceremony in the coming weeks. Promotions include the following:
• Fire Engineer Brian Sebastian to fire lieutenant. Sebastian graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College Fire School.  He holds North Carolina certifications as level II fire instructor, emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and water rescue/swift water.  Sebastian has seven years of service with the Salisbury Fire Department.
• Fire Engineer Chris Smith to fire lieutenant. Smith graduated from West Rowan High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College and has 21 years of service with the Salisbury Fire Department. He holds certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and has previously volunteered with the Woodleaf Fire Department.
• Fire Engineer Chris Naylor to fire lieutenant. Naylor is a graduate of Salisbury High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College Fire School. He holds certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician, and advanced swift water technician. Naylor volunteers with the South Salisbury Fire Department and has eight years of service with the Salisbury Fire Department.
• Fire Engineer Eric Bost to fire lieutenant. Bost is a graduate of East Rowan High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College Fire School. He holds certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and fire instructor level II. Bost has eight years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department and also volunteers with the Rockwell City Fire Department.
• Fire Engineer Robbin Moon to Fire Lieutenant. Moon is a graduate of South Rowan High School and has 24 years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department. Moon holds certifications in emergency medical technician, advanced rescue technician, hazmat technician, level II fire instructor, fire inspector and fire officer II. He also volunteers with the Cleveland Fire Department.
• Fire Engineer Shawn McBride to fire lieutenant. McBride is a graduate of Sumter High School and Catawba College. McBride has eight years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department and holds certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician, fire instructor level II and serves as the chief of the East Spencer Fire Department. 
• Fire Control Specialist II Chandler Beheler to fire engineer I. Beheler graduated from the Gaston Community College Fire School and is pursuing a fire science degree from Gaston College. Beheler holds certifications as certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and has two years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department.
• Fire Control Specialist II Ray Moore to fire engineer I. Moore graduated from Riverhead High School, Davidson Community College Fire School and has eight years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department. Moore holds certifications as certifications in emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and volunteers with the Mocksville Fire Department.
• Fire Control Specialist II Lauran McCulloh to fire engineer I.  McCulloh graduated from South Rowan High School, Rowan Cabarrus Community College Fire School and has six years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department. McCulloh holds certifications as a paramedic, hazmat technician, rescue technician and level II fire instructor.
• Fire Control Specialist II Stephen Carter to fire engineer I. Carter is a graduate of Carson High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College Fire School. Carter holds certifications as emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and level II fire instructor and has four years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department.
• Fire Control Specialist II Andrew Ebersold to fire engineer I. Ebersold is a graduate of Brookville High School and Coastal Carolina Community College, obtaining an associate degree in fire protection technology. Ebersold also holds certifications as emergency medical technician, hazmat technician, rescue technician and child passenger seat safety technician. Ebersold also has four years of service in the Salisbury Fire Department.
