Kentucky Wesleyan College awarded bachelor’s degrees at the 145th Commencement ceremony on May 10 to Trevin Vincent and Virginia Weant. Both from Salisbury, Vincent and Weant received their bachelor’s degree in music. Vincent is the son of Reginald Vincent and Jacqueline Hardin, and Weant is the daughter of Drew and Wendy Weant. She graduated summa cum laude.
Saint Mary’s College named Anne Knauf of Salisbury to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. Knauf is the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Knauf of Salisbury. To earn academic honors at Saint Mary’s, a student must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have at least 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes and no grades lower than a C.
Virginia Weant was awarded the Dr. Paul W. Hagan Outstanding Music Prize, Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, The Order of Oak and Ivy and Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
