Located at 1325 Klumac Road, the new locally-owned business is the latest of the franchise’s more than 1,200 locations across the country and the 20th Sport Clips in the Charlotte region. A new spin on the old barbershop, Sport Clips specializes in hair care for men and boys.

“With the support of Sport Clips’ real estate team and technology, we identified this location and believe it will be a perfect fit,” said Patrick Hardy, owner of the new Sport Clips.

The Salisbury grand opening will begin with two days of donations to local charities along with activities for all ages.

For every free haircut given away on Friday and Saturday, Sport Clips will donate $5 to local charities and will encourage patrons to match the donation, said Kristen Patitz, operations director.

Family-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wallace Commons parking lot both days include the Sport Clips NASCAR race car from Joe Gibbs Racing, a bounce house, games and contests with prizes, face painting, balloons and free ice cream from Mr. Cone Ice Cream, owned by Joe Bello of Salisbury.

Sport Clips is known for playing sports videos on large, flat-screen TVs at each haircut station and in the lobby.

Stylists specialize in hair care for men and boys and offer a hot steamed towel treatment and neck and shoulder massage with a precision haircut and shampoo. Walk-ins are welcome.

“We’re proud to be a part of Salisbury’s retail community and make it even more convenient for guys to take care of their haircut needs,” said Hardy.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
