Rowan County’s American Legion game scheduled for Newman Park on Wednesday night has been postponed.
Newman Park has been without power since a line was cut in a digging mishap on Tuesday, and efforts to restore power today proved unsuccessful.
Rowan and Concord are tied 1-1 in a best-of-five first-round series. Game 3 was scheduled to be played tonight.
At this point, Game 3 is postponed until Thursday at Newman Park. If the teams can’t play at Newman Thursday, the game would likely be moved to Concord’s home field at Central Cabarrus.
The second round starts July 6.
