Are you looking forward to a long weekend? Are you on vacation? Stuck at work? Wherever you are, the weather is not going to change much, but the weekend, at least for now, looks rain free.
Today and tonight, we have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Today, the chance will be right around lunchtime and after 2 p.m. Partly sunny skies will allow temperatures to climb to 88 degrees. If there’s any rain tonight, it will be before 10 p.m., with an overnight low of 69.
We say hello to July on Tuesday, when the rain chance drops to 20 percent under mostly sunny skies. It will be hot, 90 degrees, and a code yellow air day for ozone. Sensitive groups may notice a difference in the air. Tuesday night’s low will be a warm and muggy 71.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny and hot, too, with 91 for a high. Brace yourself for a hot month. There’s a 30 percent chance of precipitation for day and night. The low will be warm again, 72.
Look for a 40 percent chance of showers and storms on Thursday and a high near 89 under partly sunny skies. The highest chance of rain this week comes Thursday night — 50 percent, with a low of 69.
Then on Independence Day, the 4th of July, we should have mostly sunny skies with a high near 86 and a low of 66. Saturday and Sunday are going to be about the same, with Saturday’s high of 85 and low of 66 and Sunday’s high of 87, all under mostly sunny skies.
