On Saturday, park rangers will open the summit of Morrow Mountain to the public until 11 p.m. The front gate of Morrow Mountain State Park will remain open into the night and all are invited to travel to the top of Morrow Mountain to enjoy the panoramic nighttime views from the highest point in Stanly County.
See if you can spot your house, a community water tower, or the lights from Albemarle, Badin, or even Charlotte. A park ranger will be on-hand to answer any questions. Motorists driving through Morrow Mountain State Park after 10 pm are asked not to enter the cabin area, group camp, or family campground areas to avoid disturbing the folks staying in those facilities.
