Where are U.S. mailboxes with later collection times?
Question: “I live on the West Innes Street side of town and cannot find a mailbox with a pick-up time later than 2 p.m. Where are all the mailboxes located in Salisbury and what is the latest pick-up time for each location?”
— E.D. Cook
Answer: It’s hard to believe the U.S. Post Office can somehow manage to be at every single collection box to scoop up mail at 2 p.m. on the dot, everyday.
Watch a box and see if it happens.
Fortunately, there are four boxes in the immediate area that have pick-up times after 2 p.m.
However, your window isn’t huge.
Here they are…
• The blue collection box at 705 Jake Alexander Blvd. W (Ste A) has last collection at 2:30 p.m.
• The blue collection box at 210 N. Main Street has last collection at 2:30 p.m.
• The blue collection box at 100 S. Church Street has last collection at 3 p.m.
• The Post Office’s lobby drop at 605 East Innes Street has last collection at 5 p.m.
For more information, click up the U.S. Post Office’s website to pull the collection times under “Find USPS Locations” or “Look Up a ZIP Code” under Quick Tools at www.usps.com.
