Spencer Post Office an eye sore
I was happy to read in the paper that the volunteers in the town of Spencer have not given up on participating in the Small Town Main Street program. It’s good to know that other residents in my town care about the appearance and the success of our town.
It’s time for the Post Office on Fourth Street to take action and clean up its appearance. The signs are worn out, the facility is dirty, windows are neglected and the parking area needs attention. The Post Office in Salisbury doesn’t get neglected, so why should ours?
Who needs to be contacted in order to get this property cleaned up? Who’s in charge of regular maintenance and upkeep?
I’ve asked the local postmaster for three years for help in cleaning up our Post Office.

Update on geese?
I’m very disappointed that I haven’t seen any update about the fallout from the killing of the geese at Rowan Memorial Park.
So that’s all that will be done — no arrests, no fines? This is just disgusting, and we need to make sure someone is held accountable.
It would be nice if the Salisbury Post would keep some pressure on them about the slaughter.
