NAMI meeting tonight includes psychosis simulation

SALISBURY — The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Rowan will meet from 7 to 8 tonight at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church fellowship hall, 1908 Statesville Blvd.
The program includes a psychosis simulation. People who experience or have experienced such episodes in real life are warned that the program may trigger an episode or cause emotional distress.
The speaker is Helen Leak, community relations specialist and Latino outreach coordinator for Cardinal Innovations.
The mission of NAMI is to promote recovery and help those affected by mental illness have the best quality of life they can.
The meeting is open to all.
