Southern Rowan’s divisional American Legion game at Kannapolis was washed out on Tuesday.
The teams will play their scheduled game at Southern Rowan tonight, also a divisional game.
No makeup date has been set for Tuesday’s rainout.

Prep baseball
Carson baseball coach Chris Cauble announced Tuesday that Dillon Atwell and John Daugherty will play at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.
Atwell is Carson’s all-time wins leader with a 25-6 record and also holds the program records for innings pitched and strikeouts.
Atwell twice won the Patrick Snider Memorial Award as Rowan County’s pitcher of the year.
Daugherty was a two-way player as a pitcher/outfielder and was the Mark Norris Memorial Award winner as Rowan County Player of the Year in 2013.
The last two seasons. Daugherty won 15 games and drove in 47 runs.

• East Rowan coach Brian Hightower announced that third baseman Mason Doby, who batted .320 for the Mustangs, will play at Rockingham County Community College in Wentworth.
Stories on Doby and East’s Luke Setzer, who is headed to Catawba, are upcoming.

A.L. Brown’s Trace Hagler, Kameron Sherrill and Zach Mullinax were named to the All-MECKA baseball team.
North Meck’s Ryder Ryan was named player of the year.
• A.L. Brown’s Kaitlyn Moore, Kaylee Cook, Kelly Chrismon and Allie Baker made the All-MECKA softball team.
• A.L. Brown’s Amanda Anderson and Katie Watkins were named to the All-MECKA socer team.
• A.L. Brown’s Gage Moore made the All-MECKA tennis team.

Tanner Owen, a High Point amateur, shot 5-under 66 and is the first-round leader at the North Carolina Open at The Club at Irish Creek.

The Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith 5K Mission Run will be held on Saturday, June 28.

The 5K Run/walk is $20. A half-mile fun run for 10-under is $10.
Robinson Leyer struck out a career-high nine batters over seven scoreless innings, but Savannah scored three runs over the final two innings to beat the Kannapolis Intimidators 3-2 on Tuesday. at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The Sand Gnats are now in position to clinch the South Atlantic League Southern Division First Half title with a win on Wednesday combined with an Asheville loss.

Showcase baseball
Carson’s Michael Morrison went 7-for-13 for the Charlotte MegaStars at UNC Greensboro with four extra-base hits. The MegaStars play at Appalachian State this weekend.

West basketball camp
West Rowan Falcon Basketball Camp for boys and girls is set for July 14-16.
Camp is from 9-1 daily. The cost is $50.
