Rowan weather: More of the same

If you experienced last night’s severe thunderstorm, then you know what’s possible for today and the rest of the week. Any storm can turn severe. We’re most likely to see what we saw last night — lots of lightning, torrential rain, small hail and high winds.
The showers and storms are possible today after 2 p.m. Partly sunny skies will drive the temperature up to 90, and we’ll have plenty of humidity. The chance of rain is just 30 percent today and tonight, but any storm could drop a lot of rain. Tonight’s low will be around 57.
Storms and showers will develop again Wednesday afternoon, with another 30 percent chance of rain. Expect a high of 87. The low of 67 will come with a 40 percent chance of rain and storms.
With a 60 percent chance of precipitation Thursday and Thursday night, we’re probably going to have more widespread thunderstorms and showers. During the day, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 82; the low will be 65.
It’s just more of the same heading into the weekend, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms Friday; partly sunny and near 85. Friday night actually doesn’t have a mention of rain; low of 65.
We’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers and storms Saturday, Sunday and into Monday. Saturday will be steamy, with a high of 86 and a low of 66.
Sunday we drop back to 84 under partly sunny skies. Sunday night, we’re at 66 again.
We’re back in the sauna Monday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 86.
