Need help making your home more energy efficient? The local weatherization assistance program is accepting new applications in Rowan County.
Run by the Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency, the weatherization program helps Rowan County residents who meet the federal low-income guidelines save energy and reduce expenses by installing energy conservation materials and implementing energy efficiency measures in their homes.
The program targets elderly people, individuals with disabilities and families with children. There is no cost for this service for qualified individuals.
The heating and air repair and replacement program works in conjunction with weatherization assistance to repair or replace inefficient heating and air conditioning systems in the homes of low-income families.
