Gaul was crowned 3A Midwest regional champion in the 300-meter hurdles on Saturday at Marvin Ridge High School. Gaul completed the race in a school-record 46.85 seconds.

Gaul took third in the pole vault by clearing a school-record 10-0.

She’ll compete in both events in the state championship meet at N.C. A&T Friday.
