All warnings have been allowed to expire at this time.

A tornado warning has been issued for Rowan County until 4 p.m., covering mostly the northern part of the county. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the same area, effective until 4:45 p.m.

Citizens should take appropriate action to protect themselves immediately.

A severe storm is entering the area and is capable of producing a tornado. The storms may blow down some trees and be accompanied by hail and winds in excess of 60 mph.
