West Rowan Middle School girls run in 5K

On Friday, April 11, girls at West Rowan Middle competed in the 5K Bunny Hop during their physical education class. All of the girls decreased their run times from the fall.
Top winners in eighth grade were Hydeya Robbins, 22:27; Megan Brown, 24:24 and Shalea Vanhoose, 24:32. Top runners in seventh grade were Tempest Robbins, 25:01; Aleya Sisson, 25:40 and Takiya Robbins, 26:35. Top runners in sixth grade were Tori Hester, 25:10; Brianna Hargrove, 25:12; and Gaby Blabon, 25:14.
West Middle’s fastest staff member was Angie Strode 23:03. All participates received a prize for finishing the 5K race. A special thanks to Food Lion for their donation to the 5K.
