Charlotte’s Melissa Orr did something very unusual at the Carson Prowl 5K on Sunday afternoon. She was the overall race winner with a time of 21 minutes and 45 seconds. Top male finisher was Richard Ellis with a time of 22 minutes and 13 seconds. The half-mile fun run winner was 7-year-old Clinton Efird with a time of three minutes and 49 seconds.
Carson Prowl 5K proceeds will benefit special needs classrooms in the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
