5K in Landis on Saturday

The Student North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE) of Catawba College will host the Sprint for Supplies 5K in Landis on Saturday, April 19.
The 5K will raise funds for school supplies for needy children. Those who bring supplies will receive a discounted price on race day registration. The 5K will start at 9:30 a.m. A half mile fun run for those 12 and under will start at about 10:20 a.m. Race day registration will be at the Landis Pool, 301 West Rice St.
All runners get a commemorative shirt and refreshments. Awards will be given to males and females in eight age groups.
Sponsors include the town of Landis, Ulearn2run, Goodman Farm Supply, Bradshaw Finance, Centerview Hardware, the Forum, SA Sloop Heating and Air, Windstream Inc., Piedmont Alloy, Merrill Family Dentistry, Candy Shoppe on Main and Ideal Janitorial Supply.
