Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and the Rowan County Department of Social Services will host an event 4 p.m.-6 p.m. April 15 to raise awareness for the prevention of child abuse.
The event will include games for children, awareness information for parents and caregivers, and refreshments.
Rowan County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jim Sides and Lillian Morgan will speak about the importance of child abuse awareness. Miss Teen North Carolina will also be on hand to meet those who attend.
The event will be held at Salisbury City Park’s Rotary International Concourse, at the corner of Jackson and West Miller streets.
