Cabarrus has herb and plant festival planned April 12

The Cabarrus County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association will present the ninth annual Spring Herb & Plant Festival on Saturday, April 12.
This festival signals the arrival of spring in the growing area. Scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The festival is located at the Piedmont Farmers Market facility, 518 Winecoff School Road, Concord. More than 75 vendors/artisans/growers will offer herbs, flowers, plants, pottery, birdhouses, metal works and woodworking, foods, soaps, local honey and more.
David Goforth, Extension agent, and the Cabarrus County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions about gardening. Proceeds from the Master Gardeners’ booth go to a grant fund. Grants are awarded to Cabarrus County schools, organizations, community groups and individuals with special projects. For more information on the grant program, visit www.mastergardenerscabarrus.org.
