Tickets are on sale for the Rowan Grown Farm Tour in May, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce’s agriculture committee and chairwoman Michelle Patterson, co-owner of Patterson Farm.
The chamber will lead an educational bus tour of farms in west and south Rowan. Participants can network with farmers, agriculture students and business leaders to learn more about the economic impact of farming in Rowan County.
The tour will offer the chance to help support the local farming industry with Rowan-grown products by purchasing items from local markets.
The tour costs $22 for chamber members and $32 for nonmembers, which includes lunch by Emma’s of Salisbury with locally grown foods. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 22.
There are also sponsorship opportunities. To learn more, call Darrell Blackwelder at 704-216-8970. Register for the tour by May 10 by calling 704-633-4221 or going to www.rowanchamber.com/pages/FarmTours/ .
