SALISBURY — The luminary event at Dixonville Cemetery has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. April 11 after weather forced a postponement last month.
The Dixonville Cemetery Task Force will host Lighting the Way, which will begin at First Calvary Baptist Church, 400 S. Long St. Participants will walk to the Dixonville Cemetery where more than 500 luminaries will line the path to commemorate the individuals interred in the cemetery.
Trolleys will be available to transport those who would like assistance getting to the cemetery. For more information, contact Lynn Raker in the city’s Community Planning Office at 704-638-5235.
