Rowan Tea Party hosting GOP senate forum March 25

The Rowan County Tea Party Patriots will host a forum at 7 p.m. March 25 for candidates in the North Carolina GOP senate primary.
The forum will be held at High Rock Church West, 710 Jake Alexander Blvd. Vince Coakley, a former Charlotte broadcast news anchor and Republican candidate for the 12th N.C. Congressional District, will moderate.
Candidates who have committed to attend are Ted Alexander, former mayor of Shelby; Dr. Greg Brannon, a Cary obstetrician; Heather Grant, a nurse practitioner; and the Rev. Mark Harris, pastor of First Baptist Church of Charlotte.
The winner in the May primary will challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan in November.
The forum is open to the public and admission is free.
