April program in Salisbury features dementia expert Teepa Snow

On April 12, First United Methodist Church, 217 S. Church St., is hosting a daylong presentation by Teepa Snow, a dementia expert.
Snow has clinical appointments with Duke University’s School of Nursing and UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine. She provides dementia education and training sessions to caregivers, organizations and providers throughout the country and is renowned for her engaging style.
Assisting with the presentation is Memory Makers of North Carolina, a group that includes Home Instead Senior Care, Carillon Assisted Living of Salisbury, Lutheran Services Carolinas and Magnolia Gardens.
Check-in is from 8-8:45 a.m. Session 1 is from 9 a.m.-noon. Lunch is from noon-1 p.m., and session 2 is from 1-5 p.m.
This workshop has been pre-approved for six hours of general social work credit, and all other disciplines will receive a six-hour certificate for general education credit.
