Carriage Room turns 40 on Saturday
SALISBURY — The Carriage Room turns 40 years old Saturday and will celebrate with a birthday party and three bands throughout the evening.
The bar and restaurant at 2141 Statesville Blvd. has doubled its capacity by expanding into the former salon next door. Salisbury City Council recently approved a second pool table at the business, which may be the city’s oldest, continuously operating bar.
The party starts at 4 p.m. with food and drink specials, a raffle and door prizes, owner Bob Moore said. The first band opens at 5 p.m.
