Catawba’s basketball games scheduled for tonight against Coker have been rescheduled for Monday.
• Catawba-Pfeiffer baseball that was scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m.
• Catawba-Pfeiffer men’s tennis was rescheduled for Feb. 24 at 3 p.m.
• Catawba-Pfeiffer softball doubleheader that was scheduled for Tuesday was rescheduled for March 20 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Livingstone
Livingstone’s CIAA games scheduled for Wednesday against Fayetteville State have been postponed to Monday.
Livingstone also announced that Saturday’s home games against rival J.C. Smith will be played in the afternoon at 2 and 4, instead of at night, due to weather concerns.
• Livingstone had a big week as far as CIAA honors.
Senior guard Mark Thomas was named CIAA Player of the Week. He scored 31 and a carer-best 36 in two league victories.
James Stinson was named CIAA Men’s Coach of the Week, while Livingstone’s Angelyne Brown was named CIAA Women’s Coach of the Week. Both were 2-0.
Pfeiffer
Pfeiffer’s basketball games against Erskine tonight have been postponed.
Catawba’s women finished 16th in the World Golf Invitational in Florida.
Leslie Long shot 78-77 — 155 and placed 13th. Madison Kennedy (Salisbury) shot 84-79 — 163.
SPC action is scheduled to resume Thursday with a South Rowan at Concord makeup game, although weather will likely be a factor.
Cabarrus’ boys teams are 27-10 against Rowan this season in SPC games.
Carson is 4-5 and is scheduled to play Hickory Ridge Friday. West is 3-6 against Cabarrus SPC clubs with a game left against surging Hickory Ridge on Friday. Hickory Ridge has won five of its last six.
“It’s a jumble in the middle of the league and we’re fighting for our playoff lives every game,” Hickory Ridge coach Robert Machado said.
Concord is 15-0 in the SPC and has clinched the league championship. Second-place Cox Mill also hasn’t lost to any of the Rowan teams and is scheduled to play at Carson Friday.
The top three SPC teams are gauranteed playoff spots.
Other teams also are expected to make the state-playoff bracket.
Carson is still in third place after three straight setbacks, but if it loses Friday, Hickory Ridge and Northwest Cabarrus have a chance to tie the Cougars.
Rowan girls teams are 27-10 against Cabarrus in SPC games. East went 10-0 against the Cabarrus SPC teams. South is 7-2 against the Cabarrus SPC teams. West and Carson are 5-4.
East has clinched the league championship. South is in second place and would clinch second with a win at Concord.
• In the CCC, both North Rowan clubs are headed to the playoffs.
Spencer has been Titletown lately, and the Cavalier boys are tied for first with Lexington with 8-1 CCC marks. North’s boys have been conference champs four straight seasons, and they have been tournament champions three straight seasons.
North is scheduled to play at Salisbury on Friday while Lexington tangles with Thomasville.
Salisbury-West Davidson was postponed due to weather concerns on Tuesday.

In 1A boys, unbeaten East Carteret is ranked No. 1, with Winston-Salem Prep No. 2.
East Carteret got eight first-place votes.
In 2A boys, Lexington and North Rowan received votes but didn’t make the top 10. Shelby is No. 1, while unbeaten Smoky Mountain is No. 2.
In 3A boys, Concord is No. 2. Undefeated Erwin, an Asheville school, is ranked No. 1. Concord got three first-place votes.
Cox Mill received votes.
In 4A boys, Page nipped Olympic for the top spot. West Charlotte is ranked eighth. Hough is ninth. Mount Tabor is 10th.
In 1A girls, there are two unbeatens. Riverside-Martin is ranked No. 1, with Granville Central No. 2.
In 2A girls, there are still three unbeatens. Bandys, Reidsville and Northside-Jacksonville lead the poll.
East Davidson is ranked seventh.
In 3A girls, unbeaten Chapel Hill is on top, with unbeaten Hickory second.
East Rowan (18-3) tied for 10th this week.
In 4A girls, unbeaten McDowell tops the poll, with Myers Park a strong second.
West Forsyth is ninth.
West Rowan Middle’s boys won 56-27 against Southeast.
West (2-3) was led by Payne Stolsworth’s nine points. DeVae Vaughn, Cole Hales and Robert Caldwell scored eight points each. Jacob Perez scored seven, Anthony Chance had six, and Kai Sisakda had five.
Malik Robinson led the Patriots with seven points. Jenah Ford scored six.
Samuel Wordsworth had six rebounds for West. Caldwell had three steals.
West is scheduled to play at Knox on Thursday.
• Erwin’s grls won 39-35 against Mooresville. Lauren Weisensel scored 20 points for the Eagles, while Zynoria Winford had 19. Somer Wilson scored 21 for the Imps. Alecsai Allen had nine.

College baseball
Freshman infielder Tanner Bigham (NW Cabarrus) will play this season at Pitt Community College in Greenville, N.C.
Usually a junior-college power, Pitt’s first two doubleheaders were rained out.
Bigham signed with UNC last spring.
